| • No dog can be left without clean water or food for a period that would amount to cruelty; i.e. clean • water is always available and the dog is fed on a daily basis. • Penalty for failing to comply is a fine of $2,500.00 or imprisonment for 6 months or both. • Failure to provide sufficient exercise if the dog is kept chained or in close confinement. • Penalty for failing to comply is a fine of $2,500.00 or imprisonment for 6 months or both. • Unnecessarily punish or treat the dog in a manner that is cruel. • Penalty for failing to comply is a fine of $2,500.00 or imprisonment for 12 months or • both. • Keep, use or allow the dog to be kept or used for the purpose of fighting. • Penalty for failing to comply is a fine of $5,000.00 or imprisonment for 12 months or • both. • A person who steals a dog, has in their possession knowingly a stolen dog. Any person who kills, • maims or wounds a dog. • Penalty for failing to comply is a fine of $2,500.00 or imprisonment for 6 months or • both. • It is a legal requirement that all dogs are licenced.
